Your lesson time
Your lesson start time is shown in your booking confirmation. Please arrive a little early so there’s enough time to get checked in and ready before your lesson begins.
Where to meet
All surf lessons meet in the main carpark at Ngarunui Beach. You’ll see the Green Wave surf truck parked right next to the changing blocks.
What to bring
Please bring:
- a towel
- water
- sunscreen
- warm clothes to get changed into after your lesson
Need transport?
If you do not have access to a vehicle, Green Wave can arrange pick-up anywhere in Raglan for daily surf lessons. If you are staying near Raglan town, the usual pick-up and drop-off location is next to the fire station.
Manage your booking

Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, please do so through /my-account.
Lessons can be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the lesson are non-refundable. This cancellation timing matches the FAQ content provided earlier.
Payments
Payment details are provided with your booking. The FAQ content also notes that lessons and packages can be paid in advance by bank transfer, or on the day by cash or card where needed.
Equipment and rentals
Your lesson includes the equipment needed for the session. If you already have a couple of lessons under your belt and want extra practice, Green Wave also offers half-day surfboard and wetsuit rentals for $45.
Important to know
Green Wave does not take students to the Raglan point breaks, as the rocks and crowds make them unsafe for teaching surf lessons.
